KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have acquired a pair of draft picks in exchange for defenceman Kaden Meyer.
Meyer, a 17-year-old Delta native, was traded to the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a fourth round pick in 2028 and a sixth round pick in 2026.
Drafted by the Blazers in the sixth round, 124th overall in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, Meyer spent last season with the Greater Van Canadians U18 AAA team. He had 11 goals and 50 points in 36 games in the British Columbia Elite Hockey League U18.
Meyer signed with the Blazers in 2023 and will be heading into his 17-year-old WHL season with the Hitmen in 2025/26.
