KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws ended their six-game U.S. road trip on a winning note.

Following a sweep of the Port Angeles Lefites, the NorthPaws suffered their first two losses of the 2025 West Coast League (WCL) season, falling to the Bellingham Bells by scores of 3-0 and 8-2 on Tuesday (June 3) and Wednesday (June 4) respectively.

However, the NorthPaws were able to take the series finale in Bellingham. They scored six runs in the first inning, and that was all they’d need en route to a 6-2 win. Starting pitcher Owen Fernandes allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over four innings pitched while striking out two. The bullpen held the fort with five innings of scoreless baseball, striking out nine batters in the process.

The NorthPaws improve to 4-2 on the 2025 WCL season. They’re in a tie for second in the North Division, trailing the 3-0 Edmonton Riverhawks for first.
